You set your own consultation fees, and patients pay online in advance. So there is no financial risk for you.
All payments run through the platform, which you set up yourself under Payment settings. You can receive payments via Stripe Connect or PayPal: request an account, enter your details, and link it to start receiving payments. Verification can take up to 24 hours to complete.
For video bookings, the patient is charged at the moment they enter the waiting room, rather than at the time of booking. This keeps the process simple and avoids complicated cancellation and refund handling.
A platform fee applies to each paid consultation: 8.5% for consultations of €50 or more, and 9.5% for consultations under €50.
Patients always receive an invoice, which they may be able to submit to their health insurer. You can download all sent invoices from the platform at any time.
How does PayPal work on the platform?
PayPal and Stripe work in two important different ways.
- PayPal can hold your money itself, like a bank. Stripe cannot do this, it relies on external banks.
- We connect your full PayPal Business account, not a limited “managed account” like the one Stripe uses.
What this means for you as a practitioner:
To receive payments through PayPal, you need a PayPal Business account. You either already have one, or you can create one through us.
We then link that account to our system, in the same way you might connect another website to your Google account. It stays entirely your own account.
Because it is your own account, you handle your own invoicing and manage your own funds. There are no “payouts” like with Stripe. Your money simply stays in PayPal. It is not transferred to a separate bank account, which is what happens with Stripe.
We’re happy to help if you have any questions while setting this up.
